Greek Hotels: Best in the world for 2025

Greek Hotels
As in the case of Greece as a Destination and its unique attractions described in another post, Greek hotels also shone brightly during the 2025 awards season, earning numerous distinctions across major international competitions.
1. TUI Global Hotel Awards – Berlin 2025
In the prestigious TUI Global Hotel Awards, announced during ITB Berlin 2025, Greek hospitality stood out once again. From a pool of 14,000 properties worldwide and feedback from more than 20 million guests, two Greek winners were honored among the very best.
- Lindos Blu Luxury Hotel & Suites (Rhodes) triumphed as both Best Hotel Globally and Best Hotel in East Mediterranean & North Africa. Guests praised the hotel’s exceptional service, quality, and attention to detail. Notably, Lindos Blu also holds Green Key sustainability certification and has now won the TUI award four years in a row — an outstanding achievement.
- The Metaxa Hospitality Group (MHG) once again distinguished itself in sustainability, receiving the Special TUI Care Foundation Award. This honor recognizes the crucial role of hospitality groups in supporting local communities, the environment, and on-the-ground sustainability initiatives.
2. Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards 2025
In the Best Hotels in Europe category, Sani Beach (Halkidiki, Northern Greece) ranked 5th overall and 1st among Resort Hotels, with the top four being city properties. In the Best All-Inclusive Hotels in Europe category, Greek excellence with Ikos Group dominated the top-10, with 3 winners: Ikos Aria (Kos Island), Ikos Oceania (Halkidiki), and Ikos Dassia (Corfu Island), all securing places among the continent’s best.
3. Travel + Leisure’s “World’s Best Awards” 2025
Grace Hotel, Auberge Resorts Collection (Santorini, Cyclades) was named No. 1 Resort in Europe (No. 16 globally), while Santa Marina, A Luxury Collection Resort, Mykonos, placed 7th.
4. TTG Luxury Travel Awards 2025
The TTG Luxury Travel Awards returned in 2025 with two major Greek winners: Grecotel Hotels & Resorts was named Luxury Hotel Company of the Year, and also won Luxury Trade Support Team of the Year, and MarBella Collection received the title of Luxury Small Hotel Company of the Year.
5. World Travel Awards 2024–25
The 31st World Travel Awards once again recognized Greece’s world-class hotel sector. Among global winners, Greek hotels claimed 1st place in several categories (as World Leading):

At European level, Greek hotels achieved further success, including 1st place in the following categories:

Greek destinations are also strong contenders for the upcoming 2025–2026 World Travel Awards, with remarkable representation in major categories as Europe’s Leading hotels (nominees):
All-Inclusive Resort: 7 Greek nominees out of 13 || Beach Resort: 4 out of 10 || Luxury All-Suite Resort: 3 out of 8 || Luxury Beach Resort: 5 out of 11 || Luxury Hotel Villa: 5 out of 6 (!) || Luxury Resort: 6 out of 14 || Seafront Resort: 3 out of 6 – a category dominated by Greece since 2016.
6. World Spa Awards 2025
Greek hotels also led the way in wellness and spa excellence. The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino (Messinia, Peloponnese) was named World’s (and Europe’s) Best Resort Spa.
One&Only Spa, Kéa Island (Aegean Sea) won World’s Best New Resort Spa 2025 and Guerlain Spa at One&Only Aesthesis (Athens Riviera) earned the title World’s Best City Resort Spa.
ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΗ ΠΕΡΙΛΗΨΗ | GREEK SUMMARY
Κατά τη διάρκεια της περιόδου 2024–2025, τα Ελληνικά ξενοδοχεία κατέκτησαν πλήθος διεθνών βραβείων και διακρίσεων, επιβεβαιώνοντας τη θέση της χώρας ως ένας από τους πιο αγαπητούς και ποιοτικούς Προορισμούς Φιλοξενίας παγκοσμίως.
Το Lindos Blu στη Ρόδο αναδείχθηκε Καλύτερο Ξενοδοχείο στον Κόσμο στα TUI Awards, ενώ ελληνικά brands όπως Grecotel, Ikos, Domes και MarBella Collection απέσπασαν διεθνείς τίτλους για ποιότητα και εμπειρία.
Στον τομέα της Βιώσιμης Φιλοξενίας, ο Όμιλος Metaxa Hospitality Group ξεχώρισε και στα TUI Global Hotel Awards, λαμβάνοντας το βραβείο βιωσιμότητας TUI Care Foundation.

Με περισσότερες από 30 συνολικές διακρίσεις σε παγκόσμιο και ευρωπαϊκό επίπεδο, η Ελλάδα αναδεικνύεται σε ηγέτιδα δύναμη παγκόσμιας φιλοξενίας.
Στην ευεξία, το Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino κέρδισε τον τίτλο Καλύτερου Spa στον Κόσμο (World Spa Awards 2025), ενώ το One&Only Spa στην Κέα και το Guerlain Spa στο One&Only Aesthesis στην Αθήνα βραβεύτηκαν για την καινοτομία τους.
